As part of the Westbury park Christmas celebrations we are delighted to perform for you live excerpts of the Christmas choral drama Bethlehem by Rutland Boughton (written for the Glastonbury Christmas Festival in 1915 )
Duration is under an hour with Singalong Carols at the end. Mince pies served afterwards donated by Waitrose Sadly no hot drinks will be served this year due to the current situation so please do bring your own hot drinks.
There will be handmade items for sale by the ladies of the Westbury park WI and we are delighted to have the family of Rutland Boughton coming as well!

Baritone Charlie Morris is a music graduate from the University of Bristol and is a teacher of music at Bristol Grammar School as well as the Artistic Director and co-founder of award-winning touring opera company, Opera in a Box. Charlie has over fifteen years experience of professional opera and oratorio credits in London and the South West, and has a significant portfolio of producing credits over the last decade that has extended to sixteen fully-staged, award-winning operatic productions. Charlie is also a freelance jazz pianist & bassist, and remains active as a Technical Assistant for Outside Broadcast television.

Soprano Katie Blackwell has eleven years of experience performing and working in the opera industry and is the co-creator of The All Aboard Opera! company . Katie graduated with a Master’s from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, having studied with Eamonn Mulhall, and graduated from Cardiff University with a BA in Music and History, where she was the recipient of the Sir Geraint Evans Award for Outstanding Vocal Performance. She now works in theatre and production as a singer and director. Katie works as Oxford Opera's Director of Education and Outreach.
Tenor Thomas Wood is a singing teacher, professional singer and music therapist, trained in both Australia and the United Kingdom with over 25 years of experience in singing and theatre.He performs as an operatic tenor across the UK, and also teaches singing and vocal coaching in Bristol. https://www.thomaswoodtenor.com/
Mezzosoprano Rebecca Chellappah Is a Bristol based Mezzo-soprano and Singing Teacher and enjoys an international career in Opera, Oratorio and Recital. Christmas is her favourite time of year and she has been organising this Annual Charity Christmas show for friends and neighbours for nearly a decade. Ellie Bunce is a pianist, accompanist and piano teacher in the South West. Ellie recently graduated with a first class Music BA from the University of Bristol. Ellie accompanies for recitals, auditions, grade exams, choirs, and opera and musical theatre groups. www.elliebunce.com
